Interpretation
Used primarily for drug dosing decisions. CrCl >60: most drugs at standard dose. CrCl 30–60: dose reduce many drugs. CrCl 15–30: significant reductions needed. CrCl <15: avoid renally-cleared drugs or use dialysis dosing. Note: CKD-EPI eGFR preferred for staging CKD; Cockcroft-Gault preferred for drug dosing per FDA labeling.
