There is no permanent free tier. Every new account gets a 14-day trial with full Pro features (up to 150 notes) to experience AI-generated notes, background recording, and all features. No credit card is required to start. To keep Pro after day 14, subscribe for $79/month plus applicable tax. If you don't, nothing is charged and your account becomes read-only, with every note kept.

Scribeable is available for iPhone and iPad via the App Store, with an Apple Watch app for quick recording from your wrist. We also offer a Chrome browser extension for seamless EHR export.

Scribeable is built for HIPAA-covered practices: a signed BAA is included on every plan, including the trial, and we maintain signed Business Associate Agreements (BAAs) with every AI and cloud provider that handles PHI: Anthropic, OpenAI, Deepgram, Google Cloud, OVH and Backblaze (full list at /legal/subprocessors). We use AES-256 encryption, comprehensive audit logging, and have a designated HIPAA Security Officer.

In the United States. Our application servers and PostgreSQL database run at OVH US; Firestore and the encryption keys (Cloud KMS) are on Google Cloud; encrypted backups go to Backblaze B2. Every one of these vendors is under a signed BAA. Protected health information is encrypted with AES-256 before it is stored, and all data is encrypted in transit (TLS). Yes. A Business Associate Agreement (BAA) is included on every plan, including the 14-day trial, and you accept it when you sign up (if you sign up with Apple, Google or the iPhone app, we ask before you first use it). Our standard BAA is available in the Legal Hub, or contact us for custom enterprise terms.

Scribeable can connect to your practice's eClinicalWorks. Once it is connected, Scribeable reads the patient's chart and files the finished note into eClinicalWorks. For any other web-based EHR, the browser extension inserts the finished note in one click, and one-tap copy works with every EHR. eClinicalWorks is a trademark of eClinicalWorks, LLC; Scribeable is not affiliated with or certified by eClinicalWorks.

Scribeable supports 15+ note types including Progress Notes (SOAP), H&P, Consults, Discharge Summaries, Procedure Notes, and more. Notes are customizable by specialty.

Record in English. Visits in Spanish, French, Portuguese, Italian, Hindi, Russian or Japanese are transcribed too, including visits that switch between one of these and English; Scribeable detects the language on its own, with no setting to change. Of these languages, only Spanish has been tested and confirmed to work. A visit held entirely in another language is transcribed when that language can be detected. Visits that mix English with Mandarin or Vietnamese are not supported. Two limits apply to every language other than English. The language is decided separately for each section of a recording, so in a long visit the transcript can change partway through, for example from Spanish to English or to nothing. The checks that compare the note with the transcript can drop content in languages written in a non-Latin script, such as Hindi, Russian or Japanese. The note is written in English.

Rounding Mode allows you to capture documentation for multiple patients during a single recording session. Scribeable automatically segments the audio, matches it to the correct patient records, and generates individual clinical notes. Pro includes two rounding sessions a week, and the 14-day Pro trial includes unlimited rounding sessions (fair use applies). Rounding Mode is not available on Lite.

We offer Lite ($39/mo for 100 notes) and Pro ($79/mo for unlimited notes) for individual practitioners. Annual billing saves 17% (2 months free). Yes. If you subscribed on the web, change or cancel your plan in Settings > Billing. If you subscribed in the iPhone app, change or cancel it in Apple Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions.

Yes, in three steps. Cancel the current subscription where you bought it (Apple Settings > Subscriptions for the App Store, Settings > Billing on the web). Keep using Scribeable until the period you already paid for ends. Then subscribe on the other side. You cannot hold both at once, so the new subscription can only start after the old one has ended. Your notes, templates, and history stay on your account the whole time.

Yes. We call this the Parallel Pilot: for 30 days, clinicians in one department use Scribeable alongside your current scribe, and we measure MIPS capture delta and HCC completeness delta against your incumbent. If Scribeable is not measurably better on both, you keep the data and walk away at no cost. Request the spec at /contact?plan=enterprise&offer=parallel-pilot.

We call this the Switch Guarantee. If a clinician on a paid web subscription is not saving time compared with their previous way of documenting by the end of their second week on a paid plan, we refund that clinician's prorated subscription fee and help them export the notes they created. The clinician measures time per note against their own baseline; it is not a number we produce. To use it, email [email protected] before the end of that second week. Subscriptions bought through Apple are refunded through Apple.
