Apple Watch App

The Apple Watch app provides:

• Hands-free recording from your wrist
• Recording status at a glance
• Quick note review on the watch
• Complications for fast access from any watch face

The Watch app requires the Scribeable iPhone app to be installed. Note generation and full editing happen on iPhone or the web dashboard.

To record from your Apple Watch:

1. Open Scribeable on your Watch
2. Tap the Record button
3. The watch will vibrate to confirm recording has started
4. Conduct your consultation normally
5. Raise your wrist and tap Stop, or stop from the iPhone app

Tip: The watch microphone works best within 3 feet of speakers. For longer encounters, consider using your iPhone instead.

After a watch recording, note type selection happens on your iPhone:

• The recording automatically transfers to your iPhone
• Open the Scribeable iPhone app to select the note type (all 22+ types available)
• Your default note type and specialty settings are pre-selected
• Generate and review the note on your iPhone or web dashboard

Add Scribeable to your watch face for instant access:

• Large complication: Shows recording status and quick start button
• Small complication: Tap to launch app immediately
• Corner complication: Recording indicator (shows when actively recording)

Customize in the Watch app on your iPhone → My Watch → choose a face → add Scribeable complication.

Recordings sync automatically between devices:

• Watch recordings transfer to iPhone over Bluetooth or Wi-Fi
• Note generation happens on the cloud (not on the watch)
• Completed notes appear on all your devices
• Works with or without your iPhone nearby — recordings queue and transfer when in range

The Watch app handles connectivity changes gracefully:

• You can start and stop recordings without internet or iPhone connectivity
• Recordings are stored locally on the watch until they can sync
• Once your iPhone is nearby and connected, recordings transfer automatically
• You can view previously generated notes offline on the watch
