01Overview

Scribeable works alongside Cerner (Oracle Health) to streamline your clinical documentation:

  • Generate AI-powered notes from patient encounters
  • Export notes into PowerChart via browser extension or clipboard
  • Compatible with Cerner documentation templates
  • Works with Cerner's web-based interface

02How It Works

Your workflow with Scribeable and Cerner:

  1. Record your patient encounter using the Scribeable app
  2. AI generates a complete clinical note in under 60 seconds
  3. Review and edit the note in the app
  4. Open the patient's chart in PowerChart
  5. Use the browser extension to insert the note, or copy and paste

03Browser Extension Setup

For the smoothest Cerner workflow, install the Scribeable Chrome extension:

  1. Install the Scribeable extension from the Chrome Web Store
  2. Sign in with your Scribeable account
  3. Navigate to a patient's chart in PowerChart (web version)
  4. Click the Scribeable extension icon to insert your latest note

Note: The browser extension works with Cerner's web-based interface. For desktop PowerChart, use clipboard copy-paste.

04Troubleshooting

Common issues and solutions:

  • Extension not detecting fields: Make sure you're in an editable text area in PowerChart. Click into the note field first.
  • Formatting issues: Try pasting as plain text (Ctrl+Shift+V) if formatting looks off.
  • Extension not showing notes: Verify you're signed into the extension with the same account as the app.

05Coming Soon: Direct Cerner Integration

We're developing direct SMART on FHIR integration with Oracle Health for enterprise customers. This will enable:

  • Pull patient context before recording
  • Push notes directly into PowerChart encounters
  • Automatic encounter matching
